Class Work: 2/13/20

Joaquin Phoenix who recently played the role of the Joker uses rhetoric to take a stand and start a converstion for mental health, rehabilitation, and those who need help. He has ethos because he won an Oscar and given that stage he decided that it was important to say. His recent roll as a the joker a person with mental health supports his credibility because in order to play such a draining roll he has taken life through his characters shoes. He uses pathos in the speech communicating that he feels a disconnect in the world and how we emphasizes connecting with each other.
